[tag]UFC 83 Results[/tag]:[tag]Serra vs. St. Pierre[/tag]
[tag]George St. Pierre[/tag], heavily favored to kick [tag]Matt Serra[/tag]‘s ass, did exactly that and regained the [tag]UFC Welterweight Championship[/tag].
St. Pierre dominated the entire first round. Surprisingly, St. Pierre took Serra, a [tag]Brizilian Jiu Jitsu[/tag] black belt, to the mat quickly. St. Pierre’s dominating ground and pound attack overwhelmed Serra. Although Serra’s Jiu Jitsu defense was evident, he could not escape the relentless attacks from GSP. Serr’s right eye was a mess by the end of round one.
The second round… pretty much like the first round. St. Pierre took Serra to the mat quickly and continued the pounding. After nearly 5 minutes of second-r0und beat-down. St. Pierre finished Serra off with relentless knees to Serra’s ribs when the referee finally stepped in to stop the fight.
George “Rush” St. Pierre is, for the second time, the UFC welterweight champion.

[tag]UFC 81 Results[/tag]: [tag]Brock Lesnar vs. Frank Mir[/tag]
The highly publicized UFC debut of former WWE superstar [tag]Brock Lesnar[/tag] didn’t make it out of the first round.
Lesnar started the fight with an immediate take down, slamming Mir onto his back. Lesnar was punching Mir’s head over and over but the referee stepped in to stop the fight. Lesnar gets penalized one point for punching Mir in the back of the head.
The fight started up again and Lesnar connected with a big right hand. Lesnar took Mir down again and began pounding Mir with hammer fists to the head.
Mir was completely overpowered by Lesnar, so he attempted an arm bar. Lesnar escaped the arm bar attempt but Mir immediately locked in a knee bar. Lesnar tapped out and the fight was over.
[tag]Frank Mir[/tag] definitely showed the signs of being in a fight. His face was cut and bloodied as he raised his hands in victory. Mir, former [tag]UFC heavyweight champion[/tag], has the skills to capture the title again.
Lesnar was impressive in his debut and has the potential to be a contender with more MMA experience.

[tag]UFC 78 Results[/tag]: [tag]Houston Alexander[/tag] vs. [tag]Thiago Silva[/tag]
Houston Alexander has quickly risen to URC superstar status with his two UFC victories. Amazingly, prior to UFC 78, Alexander hadn’t even fought 2 minutes in the UFC octagon, winning both of his previous fight in under 1 minute each.
Thiago Silva entered UFC 78 with an impressive undefeated record.
In UFC 78, Alexander seemed a little less aggressive than his previous fights, Thiago Silva took advantage of it.
As round one began, the fighters quickly entered a clinch against the cage, and eventually Silva was able to take Alexander to the ground. Silva mounted Alexander and began connecting with punches to Alexander’s chin.
The referee stepped in to stop the fight at 3:25 of the first round, declaring Silva the winner by TKO.
